Lion and Mason

Overview
Lion & Mason is one of the UK’s leading user experience agencies, specialising in the design and development of digital products for international consumer brands. With a strong reputation in the UX space, the agency approached us to raise their profile and bring in new business through a focused digital marketing strategy.
The goal was clear: reach the decision-makers who commission UX work, build authority in the right channels and generate a consistent flow of qualified inbound leads.
~The Challenge~
Lion & Mason had a strong portfolio and a genuine track record. The opportunity was to build a digital marketing strategy focused enough to reach the right people: digital product owners, project leads and the decision-makers who commission UX work.
In a B2B services market where trust and credibility are essential, the goal was to raise awareness, demonstrate authority and generate new business conversations, all while using media budgets as efficiently as possible.
What Edge Found
Digital product decision-makers at serious organisations are not passive buyers. They actively research potential partners, read their thinking and form a view of their expertise before making contact. In this context, content is not a support channel; it is the primary sales tool.
For Lion & Mason, the opportunity was to get their expertise in front of this audience through the two channels their buyers use most: LinkedIn, where product teams actively engage with thought leadership, and search, where high-intent prospects actively look for UX partners.

How GTA Activated It
We developed a two-channel digital strategy focused on LinkedIn and search, the platforms where Lion & Mason’s buyers spend their time and do their research.
On LinkedIn, a coordinated campaign of paid promotion and organic content amplified Lion & Mason’s voice and put the agency in front of digital product owners and project leads: the very people likely to commission UX work. Working closely with the Lion & Mason team, we built a library of high-quality content that demonstrated genuine expertise, optimised for search and designed to fuel thought leadership across LinkedIn campaigns.
Alongside this, a pay-per-click search campaign targeted brand terms and high-intent keywords, ensuring Lion & Mason was visible to prospects already actively searching for UX services. Every element of the media budget was directed at qualified B2B audiences, with no spend wasted on reaching people who were not in the market.
